Essex born, hairstylist Claire Grech, began her journey into the world of hairdressing at age 15, with an impromptu haircut for a friend. Word soon spread and before long she was the hairdresser in residence for all her school friends.
In 2007, Claire moved to London to pursue her passion by enrolling with the legendary Vidal Sassoon Academy, whilst assisting some of London’s biggest names in session hairstyling. This led to a 1st assistant role with Anthony Turner in 2015, with whom she travelled the world for 6 years working on some of the fashion industry’s biggest shoots & shows.
In 2014 Claire Grech co-founded Off-Black Magazine with fellow Hair Stylist Sarah Jo Palmer, a printed fashion magazine serving as a platform to showcase the creativity of emerging talent.
Claire has a dynamic and diverse approach to hair which is heavily influenced by art, film, culture. She says: There is beauty to every character. It’s about finding out who they are, what they stand for and creating the story around them.
