Jonathan De Francesco is an internationally acclaimed hairstylist, with a burgeoning portfolio of creative work across the fashion and beauty industries.

It was at an early age that De Francesco discovered his passion and his inherent talent for hairstyling, working in his mother’s salon. His natural aptitude and creativity caught the eye of award-winning London salon, Brooks and Brooks, where De Francesco worked for four years. De Francesco then began session assisting under the tutelage of industry greats such as Anthony Turner, Sam McKnight and Duffy, further honing his skills and perfecting his own innovative perspective. A testament to De Francesco’s excellence and discipline, he was then part of Guido Palau’s core team for three years, exercising his talents across runway, editorial and campaigns.

Since emerging as an artist in his own right, De Francesco has cultivated an intrepid approach to his vocation. His work often takes classic hairstyles and transforms them with his unique eye, daringly experimenting with textures, construction and techniques. Though his work is highly considered and disciplined, it is imbued with a sense of irreverence and fearlessness. 

As one of the industry’s most exciting and sought-after hairstylists, De Francesco has worked with prestigious titles, clients and brands. Premium titles such as American Vogue, British Vogue, i-D, Dazed and Confused, AnOther, M Le Magazine du Monde and Holiday have all featured his work in their pages. His portfolio boasts a roster of esteemed brands such as Ralph Lauren, Victoria Beckham, Churches, Chloé, Off-White and Hermès. He regularly collaborates with today’s most coveted creatives, working with stylists such as Camille Waddington, Alex Harrington and Emma Wyman, and photographers such as Brett Lloyd, Sam Rock and Thurstan Reading.

In recognition of his distinctive work, Francesco has received numerous awards. He won the Creative Head It List Visionary Awards in both 2013 and 2014, and also took home the Fashionista Award in 2014.
