Karin Westerlund is a Swedish-born makeup artist who began her career in Paris working on the backstage show teams of some of the industry’s most renowned artists. 

Today, Karin is known for her unexpected creative ideas and an aesthetic that blends classic beauty with the extraordinary. She has been recognized for her attention to detail and a light touch and has an innate ability to craft a natural, understated look or to push the boundaries of beauty. 

Karin has created iconic looks for the runway shows of Saint Laurent, Acne Studios, Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Max Mara, Ann Demeulemeester and Giambattista Valli among others. 

She regularly collaborates with a range of established and up and coming photographers like Brett Lloyd, Casper Sejersen, David Sims, Gray Sorrenti, Juergen Teller, Liv Liberg, Louise & Maria Thornfeldt, Robin Galiegue, Stef Mitchell, Sam Rock, Sharna Osborne and Willy Vanderperre.
