Originally hailing from Ohio, Marla Belt started her creative career after gaining a degree in illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York. She then spent the next 11 years working directly for MAC cosmetics as a makeup artist. Within the company, she was responsible for training and instructing the other artists, as well as working on the creation and color development of MAC’s products.
After leaving MAC she went on to assist for 8 years within the fashion and beauty industry at the very highest level. Since joining Streeters in September 2013, she has worked on shoots for magazines such as Interview, W Magazine, WSJ, American Vogue, German Vogue, and Vogue Homme International. She has collaborated with some of the industry’s most respected photographers, such as Solve Sundsbo, Hugo Comte, Emma Summerton, Gregory Harris, and Ben Hassett.
