Born in Oxford in 1976, Andy Hillman graduated from The Arts Institute Bournemouth in 1999 with a First Class Honours degree in 3 Dimensional design.
Working for several product design companies he became increasingly frustrated with their approach to design and left, deciding to interail across Europe for several months before returning to London to work for the now renowned Thomas Heatherwick at his King Cross Studio. This experience ignited Andy’s passion for more creative making approaches and after a year and half working at the Studio he left to learn more about furniture making at the London College of Furniture.
Whilst back at college he was asked to help on a shoot by the Set Designer Shona Heath for photographer Tim Walker. This opened Andy’s eyes to a new and exciting world and upon completing the course went on to work for Shona for four and a half years before setting out on his own.
Andy loves anything and anyone that fires his imagination and clients include Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Comme Des Garcon, Dior, Givenchy,MAC Cosmetics, Dover Street Market and photographers such as Tim Walker, Craig McDean, Peter Lindbergh, Glen Luchford, Alasdair Mclellan and Miles Aldridge.
