Laetitia Gimenez Adam is a visionary fashion stylist, esteemed Fashion Director at Purple and coveted consultant.
Born in N’Djamena, Chad, to a Togolese mother and a half-Spanish/half-Polish father, Laetitia relocated to France as a child, and this multicultural upbringing has played an important role in Laetitia’s creative approach to life and intelligent ideation. Her interest in fashion was first sparked by watching pop music videos, and this love of pop culture has become a distinctive feature of her work’s aesthetic.
Throughout her work, women serve as Laetitia’s constant source of inspiration. With womanhood and the power of femininity as her muse, she pulls together looks that celebrate the female body in all its form and the female spirit in all its guises. She wants her work to speak to the woman who views it and empower them in their own way.
Laetitia’s love for pop culture is also evident in the way she clashes highbrow and lowbrow references, creating an aesthetic that refutes the idea of good and bad taste, but rather celebrates all facets of style. This imbues her work with an unconventional elegance, one in which realism and experimentalism are complemented and contrasted.
Laetita is a consultant for the luxury fashion house Balenciaga and she has also collaborated with brands such as Sonia Rykiel,Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Courrèges, Off White and Valentino, while her editorial work has been featured in the pages of magazines including Self Service, Purple, Altered States, Re-Edition, Carcy and Replica Man.
Laetitia Gimenez Adam is based in Paris.
