Gary Card

Streeters set designer Gary Card frequently collaborates with young designers such as Charles Jeffrey of the brand Loverboy. For Charles Jeffrey’s latest Fall/Winter 2019 show, Gary Card built "otherworldly hanging sculptures with drooping tendrils formed from newspapers collected on the streets of London. These tinfoil sculptures referenced Ridley Scott’s “Alien” (1979), and Shinya Tsukamoto’s 1989 cyberpunk horror film “Tetsuo: The Iron Man,” with which Gary Card and Charles Jeffrey share an obsession."
